Help me choose!!
Hi. Need help to choose between the following alternatives: a cabin at Eden Rock,a Deluxe room at Village St. Jean or the new Ondines hotel. We don't want to expend a lot of $$$. Have anyone been know the cabins of the Eden?. Their is not any photos at their web site. Also the Ondines is new. Anyone know the hotel. Thank for your replies.

depends on what you're looking for,
very familiar with Eden Rock and Village St. Jean (ER is WAY nicer and more expensive too) the last hotel is in the Grand Cul de Sac area which is a little more isolated. There are not really cabins @ Eden Rock ---it a hotel build around a rock formation in the ocean. What time of year are you going?
Budget?

Thanks for your reply. I will be traveling with my wife aprox.april 18 so the rate are "shoulder season" ones. I read that Cul de Sac is not as pretty as St. Jean so my choice probably is going to be between the cabin at ERock or the DLxe suite at VSJ.Do you know both? Which would you choose? The rates are more or less the same (300/350 euros)but I have some doubts with the cabin as I explain in my post. Also maybe you can help me with the ferry from SMartin.(My wife is afraid to take the "exciting landing" by plane at SBart)". I understand that their is more than one line giving this service.Sorry for my english because I'm spanish spoken.

I'd definately pick Eden Rock over Village St.Jean if the price were close.
We've stayed there and and it was just OK, noisy from above and below, and the restaurant is not one you'll ever see recomended anywhere, and we found the staff (other than the owners) to be rather uncaring. Eden Rock is right on the pretty beach @ St. Jean. We usually stay, however, in a Flamands hillside Villa (to us the Island's nicest area) for the same rate: www.stbartsvilla.com, more privacy, great views, and of course less pampering than a nice hotel like Eden Rock.
