Vieques - SJU Plane size?

Considering Cape Air or other carriers, how small are these planes that run from Vieques to San Juan? I'm used to commuter flights, even prop jets with approx 20 seats... but the family might freak if I try to put them into a 6-seater or similar.

most of the planes that fly VQS toSJU are 8 - 10 seaters, that includes the pilots seat. It is only a 20 minute flight if that will help convince them...

Just yesterday afternoon we flew Cape Air from SJU to Vieques in an eight-seater (including Captain Hiller's seat). It was great - not scary at all. Quick flight, too.

Yes, they're tiny. But that's part of the fun. They fly so low that you can notice details along the coastline, and they're so small that every seat is a window seat. Just tell your family that the small planes have a better safety record. No need for them "to freak."

The planes are small and yes 7 seater twin prop Cessnas.

That said I agree with ejcrowe that the small planes are really part of the fun. Do warn your family though, because I remember a lady freaking out when she saw the plan and almost refused to get on.

That said, down a few icy cold Medellas and you should be fine!
