Help in Nassau

My husband and I will be taking a last minute weekend getaway to Nassau. I don't have too much time to research the area so any suggestions would be helpful. I'm especially looking for tips on restaurants since we're both very picky with our food. Any fun activities would also help. Thanks!

Where will you be staying?

What do you mean by picky??
There's a ton of terrific places to eat in Nassau. A favorite would be Cafe Matisse on Bank Street Downtown, or Montegue Gardens east of Paradise Bridge. The Poop Deck East at Paradise Bridge for traditional seafood, Poop Deck West for more diverse menu.
Cafe Johnny Canoes if your at Cable Beach is a casual fun spot.

If your looking for upscale (and pricey) dining, check Greycliffs, Sun and, Buena Vista or Chez Willies.
Villagios is also terrific, located in the Cable Beach area.
There's just SOOOO much really great dining in Nassau, but it depends onwhat you are looking for.
Here's some links.. some have menus

If you are interested in some local flavour, I recommend going to the fish fry at Awawak Cay on if you are in town on a Friday night. There are a number of restaurants to choose from in that area.

Dune at the Ocean Club on Paradise Island is very fancy. We also enjoyed Mamaloo's at Atlantis for good Chinese food.

For a casual lunch in town, the Iguana Cafe is a nice stop while shopping on Bay Street.

We'll be staying at the Wyndham Nassau Resort & Crystal Palace Casino.

By picky I meant that I don't eat a lot of seafood andI see that most restaurants are seafood!!

Thanks for all the great tips so far, keep them coming...just a few days until we're there.

Johnny Canoes is just a walk out front and next door to your hotel. Great food and fun place.
