Help! Honeymoon in September

We get married Sept 1, 2007 and had our hearts set on the Carribean (Dominican Republic, Punta Cana). Unfortunately, Aug thru Oct is hurricane season. Now we don't know what to do. We really want beach, adults only, all inclusive, but not totally overpriced. Afraid Costa Rica will be too rainy....Can anyone please offer suggestions?
Thanks!
Miranda

The safest place from hurricanes is Aruba. I know an all inclusive Occidental opened there recently. A friend of mine stayed there recently and loved it.

I would also recommend Aruba for September. I just saw this resort online and it looks really nice - Aruba Rui Palace. Here is a link:

Hope this helps! - Susan

The Marriott in Curacao offers an AI plan and is out of the hurricane belt. It is on a beach, not adults only but very few kids, and in Sept your chances are very good there will be none. The rooms have great views with nice balconies. They have a huge daily American breakfast and good restaurants. It is a great island to rent a car and explore.
