Help choosing an island
 

My husband and I are looking for a good island option for a week early December.

We're mid 30's looking for white sandy beaches, with a few nightlife options, no clubs, just atmosphere. We love activities too so land activities or snorkelling, kayaking, diving. Ideally we want to stay away from the cruise ship resorts and happier in boutique hotels but not a deal breaker!

We're travelling from the UK but then onto Florida.

Quite like the idea of the French Caribbean islands. Love more villages and towns rather than busy cities.

Budget is loose but we're looking at around 2k for the week not including flights but including accommodation at least breakfast and a few activities.

Maybe Curacao?
