Help choose Carribean destination

I'm planning a 5 day get away for my wife and I for sometime in Nov/Dec, and would like suggestions of destination and Hotel in the carribean. I understand availability will be limited, but our dates are very flexible. We often stay at luxury hotels (Ritz or Four Seasons), but would also consider a boutique hotel if it was upscale. Will be flying from Philadelphia; travel time is one cosnideration. If all else fails I can get into the RC Grand Cayman, but would like to try something else. Thank you for any suggestions!!

Hi Sonodust
If you are looking for a small boutique hotel you must try the Blue Waters Hotel on Antigua. My wife and I are returning for our fourth visit this coming March and cannot speak highly enough of the hotel
The food is of a high standard and if you go on the all inclusve tariff you get all food and achohol including unlimited champagne all day!!
We travel all over the world and like you stay mainly in small 5 star luxury hotels - especially those with no children if possible ( ours have all grown up and we do now like the peace & quiet!!) Blue Waters has a range of rooms and suites directly on their private beaches & 4 pools. The staff are amazing and the service is excellent - which is not always the case in the Caribbean. The staff will actually remember your names when they greet you. They also seem to be genuinely friendly and not friendly because they are being paid to be so! Most of the staff have been there for many years.
If you are very lucky or have a large budget you have to stay at Rock Cottage if it is available. Rated by a UK travel mag as 'one of the top 10 places to stay before you die!!' it is awesome. Used by rock and film stars it is absolutely beautiful with private infinity pool built into the rockface , private beach and your own power boat. we were very lucky and were up-graded last year. best holiday ever.
I am not sure how long it would take from Philadelphia but probably take less time than us from London. But we like to travel Business or First and it becomes part of the holiday enjoyment.
By the way - the hotel is only about 15 mins drive from the airport.
Hope this helps and please get back to me if I can provide any further info.

I will add Blue Waters to my list of future travel. With only 4 nights, I like to go where I can get a direct flight. We headed to the Caves in Jamaica last year and it is heaven. We also do Ritz, Four Seasons, Ginn, etc, and we can't wait to return to the caves. It is very different than a typical 5 star, but it is heaven. You feel as though you are a guest at a friend's resort. Each room is different. You get a cave dinner one night and a hot tub night. It is the most romantic trip We've had. It is also very relaxed, so if you enjoy getting dressed up in the islands for dinner or expect warm towels every hour..it may not be what you want, but we loved the understated elegance. It is a place to return. You may also want to look at Villa Rolandi on Isla Mujeres (a boat ride from Cancun). I have not stayed at Villa Rolandi, but understand it is very nice too...maybe not quite Ritz standards. Maroma is less than an hour from Cancun airport as well as The tides...both wonderful. Another on our list is Hermatige Bay, Antigua and good friends just returned from Jumby Bay and loved it. Hope this gives you a few ideas.

Check out the Regent Palms in Turks and Caicos.

--Equavalent to a Four Seasons
--direct flight from Philly (3 1/2 hours)
--excellent restaurants, with stunning settings
--one of the most beautiful beaches in the world

Thank you all for the many ideas.. Antigua is one of the places I'd been thinking of and you may have sold me on it. I'm looking forward to researching the hotels/resorts you mentioned!!

Thanks
