Help - where to go?

I am 6 months pregnant with my 1st child and am dying to go on one last "babymoon" before our baby arrives in early December. My husband and I are thinking of taking a long weekend in September. We live in the Washington, DC area and often go to the Caribbean to small relaxing resorts with beautiful beaches (Anguilla, Jumby Bay, Turks & Caicos). Hurricane season is deterring us from that.

What are some nice relaxing locations (small resorts) to visit for a (long) weekend that still have warm pool/beach weather in September?

Thanks!

You might like Bucuti Beach Resort in Aruba, which is where we go in September. Virtually weatherproof, and Bucuti has the right atmosphere for a no-kids vacation.

Another vote for Aruba (great beaches, weather and food) and Bucuti.

Not to put a damper on your trip, because I think it's a great idea for you and husband to get one last romantic getaway before baby makes three...But I think you should consider islands with relatively modern hospital facilities since you will be entering your last trimester. Whenever anyone in my family has traveled with pregnant women or children under age of 3, they've modified their vacation style by staying in places that are more developed and preferably even had a doctor on call. With that being said, I agree that Aruba would be a good choice for what you're looking for. Chances are, you would never need any medical facilities, but it's good for peace of mind to have them there anyway. I hope you go and have a wonderful time!

Another vote for the Bucuti in Aruba. From what I've read/heard the medical care and hospital are good in Aruba.

Thanks to all for your assistance. As usual, "Travel Talk" is most helpful!
