Help - Looking for specific restaurant in OSJ near park???

I was in OSJ a few years ago and came across this restaurant off a small city park. I thought it was called Old San Juan Cafe, but as I continue to search for it I can not find anything online. They had a small seating area outside, I think it was elevated off the sidewalk, I remember stepping up to sit outside. Like I said there was this little city park right near it. It was fantastic, and had traditional PR food, and amazing rum punch. I'm trying to find it so we can dine there when we arrive later in the month. Maybe it went out of business....? Anyone know this place??

Could it have been the tapas bar at the Hotel El Convento?

Hmmmm, no it was not a big hotel, nor does Carli's look familar. I do not recall being able to see the cruise ships from the restaurant either like Carli's suggests. I remember it was at a 3 way type intersection with a little park. Not a particularily fancy area either. I felt like there were a lot of locals walking around...

(To finish my last thought)

There seemed to be more locals in this area, and less tourists. It felt more like a day to day location with locals walking to/from work. I guess I just stumbled on it but the food and drink was so delicious!

Ok- this is going to sound pretty convoluted but was the outdoor part of the restaurant (tables/umbrellas) actually IN the street at the dead end section of a street (the seating area covered just the end of the block)? I do not know the street names in SJ but I think the little casual place we had lunch one day was at the end of the street that had a Ralph Lauren store on it- it dead ended (or it was on one of the streets nearby that was parallel to that street). I thought what we had that was wonderful was homemade sangria and the food was good. Could that be the place?

YES! And ironically I was telling a coworker that I was looking for a place for us to eat in OSJ and she casually said oh you should go to Cafe Puerto Rico?! I said that's it, that's the place I've been trying to track down on Fodors. She had no idea, but was suggesting it because she had been there before and loved it.

It's delicious, and has amazing rum punch/sangria.

We are going on Monday night, cant wait!

Thanks for your help everyone!
