Helicoptor Ride Costs

Hi All,
I'm going on my honeymoon this weekend to St. Lucia and am trying to get a helicoptor from Ladera to Sandles Grande. I just got a quote from my travel agent of $140 per person. Is this a normal price? Does anyone know if any specific helicoptor places there that are cheaper?
Thank you!

That price sounds right. I took the helicopter from Hewanorra to Vigie in March. I booked through SunLink Reps, which contracted with St. Lucia Helicopters, and paid $120 per person. My price did not include the taxi ride to Sandals Grande; however, which was another $20. Your price probably includes the cab directly to the resort. I would recommend the helicopter--the scenery is beautiful--although we took the ground transportation for our return to the airport.

There is only one helicopter company, St Lucia Helicopters. I assume you are staying at Ladera first? You would have to take the helicopter from The Jalousie Plantation which is nearby to Ladera. They have a helipad. You would then go to SLU airport in the north and get a taxi as stated from there. Check out their website for more info, stluciahelicopters.com The ride is about 7 minutes and is $120pp, subject to a $20 landing fee at Jalousie. If this is something you want to do, you better book very soon, they are a busy company

Do you have to take a helicoptor? (I'm talking about myself when I go)

You don't have to, Mrs. You can arrange for a private car transfer or bus transfer to your hotel too.
