Heat Wave in the US...makes me want to go to the Caribbean!!!!

Hi everyone! Who else has been in the "heat wave" in the US? I live in NC and it has been over 100 degrees for the past 5 days. Makes me want to go to the Caribbean to escape the heat! But relief is coming tonight...a cool front that will bring us 90 degree temps...funny to call 90 degrees a cool front!

everyone stay cool!

Hard to think of anything better than being at a beach front resort on one of the islands in July when it is at least 100 degrees F and the sun is hot and shiny. Jump in the water, have a tall ice cold drink, eat some local goodies. Man that is my idea of paradise. The heat and sun is THE reason to go (plus the water, the food, the drinks, the people, etc).

We are in Maryland and have been experiencing the same heat wave. I am scraed to see my electric bill!! Would much rather be hot in the islands (which never seem to get this hot anyway) than hot at home!

HOT HOT HOT Caliente!! Here too in Richmond VA area.
I hate the heat as well. Yes, I could picture the breeze blowing and a tall frozen drink in my hand, planning where I was going to eat later, reading a great book, and the whole "don't worry be happy" attitude! I get what you mean Christie

Christie, we just got back from Vieques and it was mighty hot there too, and really humid to boot. The only way for me to survive that is to jump in the pool and stay wet. Thankfully we did have air conditioning. But yes, I'd rather be on vacation than at home suffering from the heat. We're back home today and the temp feels mighty nice for a change.

Maggi,

I would much rather be in St John or somewhere in the Caribbean with this heat! I do not tolerate the heat well unless I am by a pool or in the Caribbean snorkeling!:8

Where are you from? Is it hot there?

iw,

My grandma lives in Virginia and has been staying inside to escape the heat.

Christie, we live in Michigan and it can get really awful here in August, mostly due to the humidity. We were pretty comfortable today (80's) but we had the air on anyway.
