Yes, we love the Hyatt Dorado and Hyatt Cerramar. Do a search on this forum and you will find my comments.

We stayed at both for our honeymoon. 4nights at Cerromar and 3 at Dorado. It will be 10 yrs. in August since we've been there but we ablsolutely loved our trip at both places.

I prefer the Dorado since it is low rise and seems more relaxed than Cerromar with its high rise, river pool and more kids. Dorado has excellent tennis courts and golf as I am sure Cerromar does also. You can easily shuttle between the two resorts. No matter which you choose, be sure to dine at least once in Su Casa on the grounds of Dorado!

Cerromar is more family oriented so lots of kids will always be around particularly on weekends. The Doradoo offers a more laid back atmosphere. The Cerromar has a huge river pool hence the attraction for kids. The pool at the Dorado is a standard rectangular shape. Beaches at either are essentially the same. Calm waters and a narrow sand beach. Both have shade trees.
When I last visited (last June) stayed at the Cerromar. Went to the Dorado for a couple of hours and we used the pool. There were less than 10 people using the pool. The pool at the Cerromar is always crowded. YOu can use the facilities at either and shuttle service is provided.
Cerromar is a high rise structure. Buildings at the Dorado are two stories high and extend out from the lobby area.
If children are involved the Cerromar is a better choice. If you want a more restful peaceful experience choose the Dorado.
