Can only recommend Coral Gardens, and would give it two thumbs up. It is a fantastic place, and I definitely would not take a food plan, there are far too many GREAT places to eat in/around Provo.Coral Gardens is the resort that is directly in front of the reef that people walk down to, to snorkel, but there were never any crowds on any given day we were there, and the convenience to just walk out and snorkel every time you wanted to was heaven.

We stayed at the Allegro in February 2002 and were very disappointed. It was all-inclusive but we ended up going out a lot because food, drinks and service were all very poor. The beach is very beautiful and other than our hotel being a little 'rustic', we enjoyed the island very much.

We loved Coral Gardens... very quiet and romantic. Only grips is that food was iffy at best. The dinner restaurant was fabulous, but very expensive... the breakfast/lunch/drink beach cafe was sporadic at best. We dive and there was never anyone on staff before 8:30 for us to get breakfast befoer we left. We laid in a supply of beer and breakfast goodies from the grocery store and were very happy there. Great vacation!
