HARBOURSIDE RESORT
 

HAS ANYONE STAYED AT HARBOURSIDE VILLAS AT THE ATLANTIS RESORT? IF SO, HOW CLOSE IS IT TO THE BEACH AND TO THE ROYAL TOWERS AT ATLANTIS? WE HAVE SOME RELATIVES STAYING AT THE ROYAL TOWERS, BUT WE NEED A LARGER PLACE? THERE ARE A LOT OF NEGATIVE REPORTS ON ATLANTIS BUT WHAT ABOUT THESE VILLAS? WILL WE BE DISAPPOINTED? WILL 4 NIGHTS WITH A 4-YEAR OLD BE WORTH THE MONEY AND ENERGY TO STAY HERE?

Go to the Atlantis website and click on resort map to see exactly how far...I'm sure they have shuttles. Also go to tripadvisor.com to read reviews...maybe you can find one on the villas. I've read other threads where families stay at the comfort inn suites because it has access to the atlantis property. Hope that helps.

When we were at Atlantis we could see the Harbourside Villas from the front doors of the Lobby. They run a shuttle over to Harbourside. You would have to take the shuttle to get to Atlantis and then walk to get to the beach. The Comfort Suites are closer and you could walk over to them. You would still have a long walk to the beach and would most people staying at Atlantis except for a very few rooms that are closer to the beach.

I have stayed at the Harborside Resort for the past 5 years and will return soon. I'm an owner (yes I went on the Atlantis tour and bought in...the best decision I ever made). There's a shuttle from there to the main Atlantis hotels about every 5-10 minutes, and the closest hotel (Coral Towers) is about a 5 minute walk away. Forget the negative reviews. This place is fabulous. With a 4 year old, the Harborside Resort is a wise choice. It's actually a 1 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, much better than any of the hotel rooms with a kid. Yes, it's expensive to eat a the big name restaurants, but there are many choices,including eating in your villa. There are trips to the supermarket every morning. Have fun!
