They are a great alternative to staying at the Atlantis. But beware, this is a very family oriented venue, and there are kids running and shouting everywhere. It's just 5 minutes to Atlantis, it overlooks the working harbour, with freighters, mailboats, fishing boats and cruiseships. Some people like this, some don't. Some also overlook the beautiful Marina.

The condos have lockout units, each very nice. They had some trouble with facades falling off and leaking roofs, then again with mildew, but they seemed to have solved those problems.

These are great for families, and still better than staying at Atlantis. ALthought these are nice, they are still not high quality or luxury. Just a nice, clean, safe space on Paradise Island.

Just to add to Tamara's post, the entire Harbourside was closed for a period last year to correct the mildew problems,a complete renovation,Harbourside has very high customer service ratings.Atlantis is going to add more units once they start the new phase III,as well as a retail/restaurant complex at the far side of the marina as well as a new 1200 room hotel and more water features,a sports book in the casino is scheduled to open in time for the football season.

Also, naturally you get full use of all Atlantis' facilities. There is a very good shopping centre 5mins cab ride away,Harbour Bay shopping centre,it has all the stores you should need if you are going to cater for yourselves,if you only needed juices, sodas, snacks etc. then there is a small foodstore at Hurricane Hole plaza on Paradise Island, also a couple of liquor stores.Prices on P.I. are quite a bit more expensive than in Nassau itself.

We are timeshare owners at Harborside and are heading there in August. I concur with the previous posts. Especially the part about it being family oriented. Last year we noticed several girls in their 20's in the pool, and your could tell they felt out of place. One of the great things about Harborside is the kitchen. We're a family of 5, and food could get quite expensive. But believe it or not, we bring almost everything with us from NY. Enjoy your trip in September!

I'm a total budget freak and am staying at Harborside at Atlantis next month. Can anyone tell me if I can bring food to Nassau and what kinds?

You can bring just about anything except fresh fruits and vegetables. Meats must be in the original store packages. You may not bring fresh ice (use ice packs or freeze products) and you may not use dry ice.
There are plenty of grocery stores in Nassau to pick up supplies.
As for alcohol, there are restrictions as to how much you can bring. Alcohol is cheap, but not a great selection of wine.

How do you book a unit there? I went to the Atlantis site and it's never on the lists of rooms available? I was looking for next June for a few nights. Do you have to call for this property specifically.
