Half Moon in Jamaica - Take AI Plan?
Booking a visit to Half Moon in May. They offer a variety of All Inclusive meal plans. Is this a good idea? THANKS!
|
we did do AI at Half Moon and thought it was a good value; like most AIs, (I think) it really comes down to drinking--drinks are expensive and if you'll have a few fruity cocktails down on the beach, it will be worth it; also, the food is expensive, so it worked out; two things to investigate to see if it is still included, when we used it, room service was included and that was great for breakfast and, secondly, there was an off-site restaurant (Sugar Mill?--somone else here will know)that was wonderful and upscale and was included in the AI.
Hope this helps, it is a lovely property. Feel free to ask questions. Mary in D.C. |
Thanks Marymarra!
How do the overall facilities stack up? The Hibiscus suites are new. How about the gym and spa? Oddly enough, pricing on the website shows that the AI for one person is the same price as the room only but adding a second person adds $225. |
swg--I remember the pricing being odd on the AI, but it totally worked out to make sense once we got there (my husband was on the golf plan and I was on a different non-golf plan); the facilities are beautiful--there are pools all over the property and the beach is small, but really pretty. I have to say I didn't get to the gym or spa, but everything there is first-rate. I am sure the renovated suites are beautiful.
The nice thing, too, is that it is really close to the airport so you are there before you know it. Hope this helps, Mary |
Thanks for all the great info!
Everything is booked and ready to go...I'll report back when we return but i expect a great stay. Thanks again. |
