haiti quake
 

haiti has just been hit by a 7.0 quake. epicenter 10 miles out of porto-prince. possible tsunami for cuba, bahamas & dom rep.

this is awful. prayers for all in the area.
maybe we fodorites can start a fund to contribute. these ppl needed help before.

I'm waiting for a news report now. This is a terrible thing for that area. Thanks.

virginia, I've checked the Red Cross website but nothing set up yet. I'll post as soon as I see it.

A horrible thing to happen to such an impoverished country....

the reports are coming in steadily now and it is devastating. the poor people of Haiti did not need this.

Horrible news. I have friends from there that live in T&C, and can't find out if their children are alright.
