hair-braiding in St. Thomas?

Hi all,

I loved having my hair braided in the Bahamas last summer, because it was fun/different and so convenient for our several days of diving.

I'm headed to the Virgin Islands this fall, and I'm wondering if hair braiding is as popular and available in either St. Thomas or on Tortola?

Thank!

It is available in St Thomas. You can find them in Vendor's Plaza as well as at some beaches.
The local government is trying to regulate them at the present time. They will be located indoors in a salon.

My son's girlfriend had her full head of thick, shoulder-length hair braided in Chaarlotte Amalie at Vendor's Plaza, as Ron mentioned. The cost was $65. There was also someone braiding hair at our resort on "Beach Party" day and I imagine this might be the case at other resorts as well.
