Guavaberry or Olde Yard Inn?

Does anyone have any thoughts on either Guavaberry Spring Bay Villas or the Olde Yard Inn on Virgin Gorda? Which would you prefer and why? We are seeking comfortable but somewhat secluded lodging at a moderate price. Does the Olde Yard Inn have a view? We do not have to be on a beach but we do want fairly easy access to one. Also, should we be concerned about the lack of A/C or about mosquitoes in either location? We will be visiting in mid to late January. Thanks alot!

I would choose Guavaberry over the Olde Yard Inn in a heart beat. The owners at Guavaberyy are wonderful and very helpful. The beach is close....a few minutes walk away.

Go with Guavaberry! The views are incredible from the units and each one is just a little bit different. You can walk to the beach where the Guavaberry owners have a small storage shed with beach chairs for guests. You can also walk to the Baths to explore and snorkel before the crowds arrive.

Definitely Guavaberry. Olde Yard Inn is practically in the middle of town (such as it is) and there really isn't a beach to walk to from there, as I recall. We're headed for our 4th stay at Guavaberry. Comfortable. We have always thought it was fairly private, but probably not what you think of as secluded. The beach is amazing. You can walk to the Baths. I'll be there in less than 100 days! :)

Olde Yard Inn is under construction at the moment. Guavaberry Spring Bay is a good choice!
Enjoy your stay on Virgin Gorda!

Olde Yard Inn is closed as Regine said.

We just got back from VG and stayed at Mango Bay because we wanted A/C. (The bugs eat me alive.)

GORGEOUS beach with awesome snorkeling, just a few minutes from town and reasonably priced. Oceanview was only $109. per night, and we were pleased since it was a very last minute choice on an island-hopping tour of the BVI's and USVI's.

You can walk right out of the rooms onto the beach. They say they are luxury rooms, but I would not say that is the case. Nice and clean on a great beach. But for $109. per night, I was not expecting luxury!
