Grenada experts - heard of Kalinago Hotel
 

In my "research" before my upcoming trip in May, I just came across a website for the Kalinago Beach Hotel, Morne Rouge Beach. There are no reviews on tripadvisor.com. Do you kow anything about this place?

It's brand new, right next to the Gem Beach Resort on Morne Rouge. Last time we saw it they were still building. I saw their website the other night and it looks nice. They are in a super great location! Morne Rouge is a top contender for my favorite beach in Grenada.

I hadn't heard it had opened yet. Most of the interior construction was complete when I was there in June 2009.

They are opening this month - That is what we were told when we took a walking tour of the property - it looks truly lovely!!

Hi Orange - I am back I put my trip report on TA but I can post it here too....just seems a bit quieter here...

I am so happy to have returned to Grenada it was sensational. We loved our location and we loved the people all over again - we were sad though as it is quite painful to see how tourism seems to be down and it leaves us fearing for the economy of Grenada as Nutmeg is still not what it was pre - Ivan...but this does not seem to dampen the brilliant Grenadian spirit....what a place...!

Kalinago Beach Hotel is a new sister property to the Gem Holiday Beach Resort which is just next door along the beach. It is scheduled to open sometime in March and has some facilities that the Gem does not have, such as swimming pool, etc.
