Green Turtle Cay Help?
Can anyone recommend a house or reasonable hotel on Green Turtle Cay? From what I have read, there are only 4 hotels/inns and a handful of villas on cyberrentals/VRBO etc. Are there any gems that I am missing?

I got a lot of info from
www.abacomessageboard.com Here is the lodging info: http://tinyurl.com/3d6kkm Yes, its small and that's the charm of it. Be sure to rent a boat so you can visit nearby Treasure Cay (rated one of the top beaches and I can attest to that!), Great Guana Cay -- Nippers and beautiful beaches and snorkeling. We love Abacos and looking forward to our next trip!! Hope this gets you started! Sheila |
We've been to the Abacos but never Green Turtle. Take a look at this company for rentals:

We have stayed at Tranquility and Villa Pasha from the previous map. Having walked by most of the houses on that side of the island, I would definately choose a house over one of the hotels. They are nice, but on the sound side, not the ocean. They have fun nightly events though-- bands, outdoor drinking. They seem to attract a lot of boaters who come in for a few days of land time. The grocery stores are better than other small Bahama islands, but bringing frozen meat in a cooler is a good idea. Rent a golf cart to get around, and a small boat for a few days to visit other islands.
