Grand Lido Negril or Grand Lido San Souci

I know that there is a big difference between Negril and Ocho Rios so, I am mostly interested in which resort is better overall. Please consider attributes such as accommodations, food, and service, and overall condition of the resort. Thanks very much. I will be looking forward to your responses.

GLN was very luxurious, pampering and just wonderful. we had a junior suite (first floor as balconies tend tobe very small) and walked right out to the beach. The room was very spacious with seperate sitting area, mexican tile floor, marble bath - very nice. Food was excellent - huge assortment at the buffets, very fresh selections, wonderful presentation - staff is first nitch as well. The grounds are very attractive, nicely attended to constantly. Also very much enjoyed the cruise for sunset. While it does tend to cater to a more mature crowd (not party like) I do beleive it is more active then GLSS.

Amy, I have been to both. The atmosphere is completely different.
Negril Has fantastic beaches, laid-back
atmosphere and ocho is a tropical paradise. I actually though the white-
glove restaurant at Ocho was better,
service was the best I've seen. Why not do a Grand Lido sampler (you can fly
between the resorts). It is like going
to two different islands. E-mail me for more information. You may also
call at 800 800-6332 ext. 232 I am an
all-inclusive resort specialist for
American Express.

Betty, we will only be vacationing for 4 nights. Is it worth it to visit the 2 resorts in that short period of time? Also, is the flight between the two resorts complimentary?

We have been to both, liked GLN better. It was more subdued, quiet. Beaches better, nude beach was private. GLSS was noisy to late at night, so consider that. Also, GLSS has a lot of steps. Pick one for 4 nights. Take the plane to the resort if you can, at least one way.
