Does anyone know how the Grand Lido Braco and the Grand Lido Negril fared during the hurricane? Thanks, eb

According to SuperClub's website, Braco will be reopening on September 19th and Negril on October 1st. I tried e-mail a few people that I know that work there this morning and they have not yet responded. I am going November 11th and keeping my fingers crossed.

Try checking the messageboard at www.tropictravelonline.com They have a special board for different resorts. I remember Grand Lido being on there. Heard on the news tonight that 98% of Jamaica is still without power. I did get an email from Sandals resorts that the Montego Bay airport was supposed to open on Sunday & that they hoped to open Beaches Negril on the 18th.

Thanks for everyone's replies
I checked some more message boards yesterday and also received an email from a friend who called over to Negril. The popular Rick's bar at Negril was totally destroyed. Grand Lido Negril had some roof damage and trees down. What's really sad is the poor residents who didn't have much to start with. One man my friend knows lost his whole craft shop and bar - it was totally flattened!
