Grace Bay or Taylor Bay

We are planning a vacation to Turks and Caicos in June for our family of 6 (kids ages 18 to 24). We were hoping to rent a house on the water, but due to costs began looking at condos. We are considering staying at Villa del Mar or Royal West Indes Resort, but have also found a few houses for rent in our price range on Taylor Bay. Would there be enough for us to do at Taylor Bay? Is there snorkeling near there? We would plan on driving to Grace Bay a few times, but would we need to go there for a snorkel boat trip or a fishing trip? Are there any good restaruants near Taylor Bay? We'd love any info on Taylor Bay or comments on Villa Del Mar and the Royal West Indes Resort.

NO. taylor bay beach is oh so nice. the sand is soft like talcum powder. the water is no more than mid calf deep for 200-300 yds out. the only swimming is in a very narrow cut made for boats by the ocean point villas. great for tiny kids but not so much for big ppl. your kids especially would be unhappy. no snorkeling until you get out to where the ocean floor drops off and sparse there. only 1 rest. in the area.

royal west indies is a good resort on a great stretch of beach. i don't think villa del mar is beachfront and you definitely want to be if you can.
not sure of your budget but this house on grace bay, is in walking distance of the best off beach snorkeling on provo. it might work for your family - bella sur mer

by June, there will be tons of specials--you might want to consider West Bay Club, gorgeous resort, right next to off-the-beach snorkeling, and next to Ganseevort for the kids (a little bit of nightlife.)
