The fancy restaurant at the Hamilton Princess was worth the expense.

While we did not go there, we heard many great comments about Tom Moore's Tavern. The atmosphere and food are supposed to be incredible, with prices to boot.

I agree with the above poster. Tom Moore's Tavern was by far the most memorable meal we've had in 3 trips to Bermuda! We took our teenaged children who were even awed into impeccable manners. Very romantic dining with ambience and service that will delight! <BR>

Another vote for Tom Moore's Tavern....had a pumpkin souffle dessert Thanksgiving weekend 1995 ... still makes me drool to think about it. I recall there was a $2500 dollar bottle of red wine on the list...we joked (very quietly between ouselves of course) about ordering it, taking a sip, and "sending it back". What does a $2500 dollar bottle of wine tast like, anyway? Settled on a bottle of something we were familiar with (closer to the bottom of the wide range of prices in the selection!) for about $50 or $60 I think...about twice as much as it would have been in a local (New Hampshire) restaurant. But the whole meal was worth every penny. Great service and atmosphere and food. Also enjoyed a dinner at the Fourways Inn. Have fun!!

Friends tell us Tom Moore's is outstanding. When we go to Bermuda we stay at The Reefs. The food has been so good there that we've had no reason to sample Tom Moore's ourselves. We suggest that you may want to try "Coconuts", The Reefs beachside restaurant. We meet many non-hotel guests who come there for the food and the on-the-water atmosphere. Also, for lunch in Hamilton, we never miss the Hogpenny. It has real British atmosphere, beer, and very good food and service. It's a great respite from shopping. Enjoy Bermuda!

FOr lunch, don't miss the Swizzle Inn. They have great burgers and fish sandwiches and a wicked Rum Swizzle. Not haute cuisine but tasty none the less.

When my husband and I were in Bermuda last August we had lunch at the Fourways Restaurant and thought it was abslutely wonderful. They have a fixed price for lunch which I think was around 40.00. We had soup, appetizer, entree and dessert and were so stuffed we couldn't eat dinner that night. The service was very good and they encouraged us to look around the grounds. They showed us the dinner menu and the entree we had for lunch was as expensive as our whole lunch cost. Would highly recommend you try lunch here, a great bargain. We had our anniversary dinner at Coconuts and thought it okay, our waiter was not really on the ball and botched up a few things. It was a beautiful night looking over the ocean so that kind of made up for it. We also ate at the Rib Room at the Southampton Princess and the prime rib was outstanding. Could have shared it was so huge again couldn't eat it all. Remember they automatically add 15% gratuity to you bill "for your convenience". Always got a chuckle out of that. Had rum swizzles at the Swizzle Inn but didn't eat there, might be a good idea as the swizzles are mighty strong but good. Have Fun.
