Good for Kids

We are looking for a good resort/hotel with another couple who have two young girls. We like to lay by the pool, eat at nice restaurants and watersports. We need a place that has good kid activities or even a "kid camp".

Any help would be appreciated.

Bill-I posted some suggestions under "Kid's Friendly Resorts".

What islands have you narrowed it down to? I write about family travel and have a 4 & 6 year old who have tested out quite a bit of the Caribbean. Email me directly with more specifics and I'll be glad to help.
I emphatically recommend Beaches Resort in Negril, Jamaica. Also, Beaches in Turks & Caicos is supposed to be excellent as well, although I personally have not been there. But for the best resort for adults and kids, Beaches wins hands-down.

Just returned from beaches T&C. My 20 month old loved it! The Kids club there is OK. We had a private babysitter who was fabulous. This resort is really geared to families. In fact, if I didn't have children, I wouldn't go there. Contact me directly if you want more information.
Bill:
You have probably already taken your trip but we went to Manzanillo Mexico this Feb with our three kids (5, 8 and 8) and had the most fabulous time. If price is a concern (as was ours) this is a great spot. The kids club was so great, they even have their own pool and restaurant in the club! Email me for more info.

Pat:
Some info for you regarding "kid friendly resorts".
We have 3 children, ages 13, 10 & 8. While searching for a "kid friendly resort" in Jamaica, ONLY 1 resort, 'Boscobel Beach', DID NOT charge an additional $2000 because we have 3 children, and because of that, they expected us to upgrade to a suite. A cot in a standard room with double beds would have sufficed, but not one resort would allow 2 adults and 3 children to share one room). This includes Beaches. Personally, $2000 extra for a room we plan to spend very little time in wasn't worth it. And because of this...Beaches lost our business.
