We loved the Regency and were there for 9 days. The food was absolutely fine for us. We had no problems making dinner reservations. And yes, we made dinner reservations for the other properties as well, from the Regency.
We met great people, and enjoyed a beach party/snorkeling trip. We played some games; the scavenger hunt netted us tee shirts and rum ....and fun!
The only thing we didn't like was that swimming wasn't allowed in the ocean and we had to go to the other Sandals properties. (20 minute shuttle) This cramped our style a bit, making our days more planned. But be sure to visit the Grand and the Halycon. They are very different from each other. Water skiing at the Grand was great. Halcyon is intimate and small. Grand is very big, spread out. The hotel was very hotelish, rather than Caribbeanish. We had the beach to ourselves at the Halcyon. Regency, with the exception of the beach being closed, had a great layout. Beautiful sunset views from the restaurant at the top of the hill (shuttle again...or walk)
Cool thing that impressed me....my husband would go to the bar and request an ice bucket with champagne and glasses, and bring them to our room every night...we sat enjoying the sunset, watched the birds, as we leisurly dressed and planned our nightly activities.
The spa treatments were great too.
