Going alone to St. Maarten.
Hi all,
I am currently university student and planning to go to SXM during my winter break. Unfortunately, none of my friends is interested to go there, so I decided to go there by myself. This is kinda compensation for my hard work. But the main reason for this trip is that st.marteen is very well known for the aircraft landing spot. Since I am taking aviation photos as hobby and that place is like paradise for me! But I am kinda worried about going alone. I honestly don't know what things there other than maho beach. What would you do if you go by yourself? I am in Alberta Canada right now, and will stay there for 5days. Thanks for your time, Felix |

What do you like to do besides watch the planes?

You can find a relatively inexpensive place to stay on Simpson Beach too. If you are into air travel, take Winair over to Saba, definitely white knuckle landing. Spend the day hiking the island, it is very small.

I am reminded of our stop on a cruise at St. Maarten/St. Martin. I heard that on the French side nude bathing is permitted and on the Dutch side there are casinos. So in the one side you will lose your clothes and on the other side you lose your money! This gives you an idea perhaps of what to do?
