Getting Married in Barbados
 

I am getting married in Barbados in late February. We are thinking of Almond Beach Village/Club, but are open to any other resorts (all inclusive). Any suggestions are appreciated! <BR> <BR>Janell

<BR>Janell, <BR>I rarely do AI's, but I do know from experience that many of them are very family friendly. Having a lot of kids/families around on your honeymoon may or may not be your thing, so be sure you research that aspect of any resort/hotel you're considering. I do know that Almond Beach tends to have lots of kids. I think Casuarina has a kids program, but they are corralled fairly well & shouldn't bother you. Didn't see any kids at the Crane and only a couple at Sam Lords. <BR> <BR>Is a wedding party traveling with you? If you, then maybe you do want a family atmosphere. Or maybe one resort for them, another for you. It is, afterall, your honeymoon. : -) <BR> <BR>~PP

Stayed at Almond Beach Village when it was Heywoods and have also read lots of recent posts about it. It is really way up the coast and this can be difficult being so far from everything. Also, the beach is not really very nice, rocky and small. I recommend Royal Pavilion I hear they do very nice weddings ( they don't do a lot of them so you don't feel like you are in a wedding factory). Oh sorry, I didn't read carefully -- Royal Pavilion is not all-inclusive but they do have a dining plan with sister property Glitter Bay.

We're arriving prior to our Globus tour and staying after, so we're responsible for our own transportation to and from the airport. <BR>Globus has sent us the following recommendations: <BR> <BR>Old black Mercedes - Approx $13 <BR>New black Mercedes - Approx $23 <BR>White new Mercedes - Approx $31 <BR> (with A/C) <BR>Black & White cabs - Should be avoided <BR> <BR>I like comments from anyone who has had experience with this trip. <BR> <BR>Thanks.

<BR>I don't know anything about Globus, but we took a van from the airport to Holetown, three people & a lot of luggage. 30 US dollars. (+ tip)
