GC photos-April '06

Well, I'm finally taking a stab at posting my photos from our Easter week trip to GC! I'm not one for lengthy photo albums, so these are just some of the highlights. Enjoy!

Thanks for the pix. We are going back next March - can't wait to see how (and if) GC has changed since the Hurricane.

Cvechko: Though we hadn't been to GC prior to the hurricane, so we can't compare, you do notice some damage as you're driving around. But the island is still beautiful and really seems in great shape, considering what they went through. By next spring, I'm sure things will be even better!

Great pictures!! We are considering GC for early next summer. It looks wonderful.

What you see damage wise often depends on where you stay on the island. The 7MB area has been cleaned up a lot quicker than other parts of the island.

Jspen...thank you for sharing your pictures.

Yes, Karen is right--we found that damage was more visible away from 7MB, but it was never a major issue for us, just something we noticed. We stayed in Boddentown, so we probably saw more of it in that area, as well as along the south shore on the way to Smith Cove. But even though we noticed hurricane damage to buildings and trees, it didn't detract at all from our enjoyment of GC. It's still a beautiful place--as you can see from the pictures! :-)

Glad you enjoyed the pix, girlonthego. If you have any questions, just let me know.
