Fusterlandia
On a recent Havana trip this past January, I took a ride westward out to Fusterlandia. Let me share some of what I saw…

For those not familiar with this tile filled neighbourhood, here is an explanatory article…

Very cool, CW! Thanks for sharing! Your fotos are excellent! I've still never been to Havana, although it has always been on my bucket list. Someday before I croak it, for sure. ;) Terry

Not a top 5 must see in Havana but a possible top 12.
Interesting place. |

José Fuster of Jaimanitas (Havana) was influenced by Antonio Gaudi of Barcelona Spain. I had the privilege of visiting some of Gaudi's works in Barcelona last year.
Yes, there is a definite similarity. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fod...c88cf67a5a.jpg Homage to Gaudi in Cuba |

I should do a good stroll around this area on my next visit. Only went through here in a taxi many years ago.

We took a taxi to Fusterlandia. It is a small neighbourhood. I am not sure what the surrounding area is like. I don’t remember seeing the ocean while there.

From what I saw of Miramar/Playa on a bike, I still prefer Vedado for my everyday living. Fusterlandia is worth the excursion but that is a ridiculous walk from central Havana.

An all-time bucket list place for travellers to the Havana area!
