I think that it should be pointed out that the layout of the Four Season's is part of the ambiance. The buildings are lined up along Pinney's Beach with plenty of oceanfront. There are three - count 'em- three pools to keep the shoulder rubbing to a minimum even if the resort is full. We've been to the FS high season and low and have never been disappointed. When the kid population is high (Spring Break, Christmas...) the resort offers extra programs and meal service for the kids only. Talk about treating your youngsters with care.

The first time we stayed there we had a mountain-side room (off-season/ half of the high season cost) and it was spectacular. Ask for a room on the southeast side of the resort with a fairway view to the windmill ruins: away from the tennis courts The clouds moving over the extinct volcano were more kinetic than the ocean waves.

Now we stay in a 2 bedroom golf course villa with a private pool and garden where we can do our own cooking and NEVER see another person (except for the golfers) if we don't want to. A family can rent a villa for the cost of a two bedroom suite. It also works out great for two couples to share. (Mom & Dad? Hint, hint.)

Nevisian,
I agree that the FS does a great job. I tell people all the time that, truly, if you were allowed only one vacation in your lifetime, it has to be there.
