FS at Exuma or new Ritz Carlton/Grand Cayman?

we are looking for beautiful beach, good gourmet food and service & lush grounds. Since FS/Exuma was opened before the Ritz in Cayman, do you think, the FS has the prettier ground? Please advise. Thank you.

Never been to the RC in Cayman, but recently returned from the FS Exuma. The food was great (though pricey even for the Caribbean) and the beach gorgeous. The grounds are well landscaped, lots of trees and greenery. I really enjoyed it and would go back.

Sabine, is there anything else (restaurants, shops, etc.) close to the Four Seasons? Just wondering if there are any other options for dinner. We'll be going in May, based partly on your trip report! Thanks again.

Not many options at FS, it's 30 min/$70 taxi ride from town.
It is absolutely gorgeous though!

IRabbit- I agree with Blamona; there didn't seem to be much outside the resort (or at last nearby). If you're ok with 2 upscale /1 beach type restaurant you'll enjoy it. My trip was all about relaxation and some pampering- it definitely delivered that! If you'd like I could email you pics; for some reason they're not coming up on tripadvisor-

I'd love the pics, Sabine - I did look for them on tripadvisor. I'm sure we'll manage with the restaurants the resort has to offer! Mostly we're just looking for a nice beach and relaxation. You can email to [email protected] - thanks so much.

Yhe Four Seasons recommended the following restaurants & I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the proximity to the FS or the setting, food, etc. Castaways, Coconut Cove, & Runaway Bay. Thank you!

I agree with the above that the Four Seasons beaches are superior and qieter. But, i am surprised to hear that some really enjoyed the food.
They really must have terminated the Head Chef and some of the support staff in the kitchen.
I really think yiu have to plan on eating at the resort all the time. It was the same at the FS Punta Mita. MX. A very few restaurants 10-15 minutes away ($15 taxi) were o'k or you had to go 45-50 minutes to PV for $125+tip rt.
