From Bermuda to Barbados
 

My DS and DDIL switched gears completely and we are now going to Barbados with my soon to be 5 yo
granddaughter. I know NOTHING and I mean NOTHING about Barbados. Any help, any input would be greatly appreciated. We will be visiting 8/27-9/1. Budget is generous. The Beachview and the Tamarind were mentioned. I was sold on Bermuda. Now starting over. Help!!

Thank you, suze. I've been researching all day and my eyeballs are glazing over.

I also know nothing about either of them :-)

But I do know that you don't need to do a ton of planning to visit a Caribbean island. Once you figure out where you are going to stay, and get your flights, I think the rest can wait until you arrive.

Caribbean island time isn't like going to Europe or a trip where you might prefer to have a daily itinerary nailed down in advance.

Pick and book your hotel and you are done. Don't plan any more. Relax and pack. Don't stress over packing either. You will find lots of casual beach wear, caftans, etc. and anything else you forget or need. Caribbean islands are the easiest places in the world to be spontaneous, even with a little one. People are very friendly and helpful in Barbados. You will also see some cute, creative, handmade stuffed animals and other nice quality pottery, paintings, etc. by local artists.
