Fodors, what happened??
 

I like the new forum but for the past few days, it's been sooooooooo slow.

I think they were having problems, I couldn't even get on the site. Plus, since they have enrolement, you get alot more honest and respectful opinions, but that also means alot less people.

It's not the good and honest people or the registration. It's just sooooooo ssslllloooooowwwwwwww.

I would like to encourage people to use another forum as well as this one. I have found lots of useful info. and it's not as slow as Fodor's:<BR>http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&amp;group=rec.travel<BR>(cut and paste this)

Tried the google blogging-style link above and not at all especially useful--an archive of keyworded articles at best. Fodor's site USED to be quite quite good. It's a pale shadow of its former self now...bowlderized and bland and much like frommers but heh, the pesky banners are paying for it.
