Flamenco Beach Resort in DR?
 

We are going to the Flamenco the first week of April/98 and would like any information on this hotel! Our brochure does not help us much. I understand that it is a five star resort with lush grounds. How is the food,drinks,beach? Any information would be helpful as this is our ten year anniversary present and hoping for a true paradise experience!Also any info on day trips you may have experienced. thanks!

The Flamenco does have VERY lush grounds, nice rooms, great pool, good food (6) restaurants one gourmet that is an extra charge, there's an entrance on the beach for shopping. You may want to try the Safari Trip..a LOT of fun. Happy Anniversary and enjoy your trip!

Yes do the Jeep safari trip! We did in a Major tidal wave and still was memorable. Dinners are a disapointment unless you are going outside compound. head for sousa for a long day and further if you want local fun.

We stayed at the resort in mid Jan. Very lush, however the food was average at best, the beach was dirty and there were power failures. Go to Sousa and spen your money there, it has a great beach also.

THE RESORT IS VERY NICE. FOOD IS ACTUALLY PRETTY GOOD BUT IF YOUR INTO HARD ROCK AND PLANET HOLLYWOOD TYPE FOOD YOU MAY AS WELL STAY HOME AND ENJOY IT! THE BEACH IS VERY CLEAN. THE STAFF AT ALL RESORTS DO AN EXCELLENT JOB OF CLEANING UP ANY TRASH LEFT BY THE TOURISTS AS WELL AS THE USUAL OCEAN DEBRIS(DEAD VEGETATION AND SUCH). VISIT DR1.COM FOR MUCH MORE INFORMATION ON THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. IT'S MESSAGE BOARD SHOULD INTEREST YOU GREATLY. HAVE A GREAT TRIP. JUST CAME BACK ON SUNDAY AND WOULD GO BACK IN AN INSTANT.

Going to Flamenco April 5. Any other info. you're willing to share appreciated. What about security at resort? Staff and hotel clean,friendly? Any places to be sure to go, or avoid? Thanks. Sue
