We are looking to go to an Island in late January or February that has good deep sea fishing as well as good (Amateur) <BR>beginner/intermediate surfing. What suggestions do you have? Good snorkeling would be a bonus, but not required...Thanks, Debbie

Barbados is one of the very few caribbean islands that has surfing. The best surf is on its east coast, Bathsheba. Snorkeling on its west and south coasts, you can even swim with wild sea turtles. Not too sure about the deep sea fishing, but you can check with www.funbarbados.com, on the message board, under "Sports"

Surfing in Bathsheba, or anywhere on the east coast is for advanced surfers only, but the south will work for those with less experience. Snorkelling is mediocre, and I don't fish....

Eleuthra - one of the family islands of the Bahamas. Good surfing, fishing & snorkeling. French Caribbean has good surf - Guadelope, Martinique, St. Martins. St. Martins is very developed, touristy & expensive.

I surfed on St. Croix for 2 years... the break at Judith's Fancy is the most consistent, it's a reef break and handles swells of many different sizes. Other spots that can sometimes (though not often) be surfed on St. Croix include Salt River, Butler Bay, Sprat Hall, and Cane Bay. <BR> <BR>Other surf spots in the Virgin Islands include St. Thomas' Hull Bay and Apple Bay on Tortola. <BR> <BR>

my husband surfs(thats why were looking into going- so he can surf and I can sight see) and he found a very good sight that maps out the spots to surf on the island and lists the skill level involved for each spot along with othher helpful info on each spot- go to http://www.antilles-info-tourisme.co...e/sugb-spo.htm or I think we found this sight by looking under surf spots in guadeloupe in the google search engine ...good luck

Forget the Caaribbean. Go to Costa Rica.<BR>Very inexpensive, great surfing and some of the best fishing in the world. All my buddies go there to surf and I just got back from a fishing trip 3 weeks ago, caught sailfish and blue marlin, it was like &quot;spots issustrated.<BR>Check out the Quepos-Hajoca area or Tamarindo to the North, both on the pacific side.
