First trip to Negril
My best friend and I (2 single 40ish females) will be making our virgin trip to Negril at the end of May. We'd like a clean two bedroom with at least fridge on the beach. No all inclusives please. We're thinking possibly Rondel. What do you experienced people think? Thanks!

Rondel is located very nicely on the beach. You may also want to check out Charela Inn (they have a delightful staff, or Negril Gardens.

Hi Michele!!
Ditto on the responses so far! Negril
is still considered safer than Ocho
Rios, Montego Bay and Kingston so
you will have a good time there. But
be prepared for quite a bit of hustling-
-- just say no firmly and walk on. We
stayed at the T-Water Beach Hotel
in Negril (Breakfast and Lunch were
included in rates) and had a great
time walking up and down the
fantastic Negril Beach checking out
the hotels, the restaurants and the
entertainment. Do accept the fliers
local Jamaicans pass out during the
day on the beach-- these fliers often
advertise entertainment, coupons
and discounts at restaurants. Read
these fliers carefully-- the coupons
are often printed right on the fliers!
Have a great time!
Sincerely, Janice
I would also recommend SeaSplash - it has a full kithenette and so so some of the rooms at BeachComber!!!

Sea Splash is a nice hotel but the beach in that area is somewhat eroded. Another really nice hotel/beach area is CoCo LaPalm. Best non A/I that I saw in Negril. Good luck!

Michele,
The responses you got so far are good. I was there in September for my wedding/honeymoon.

We stayed at Charela Inn. Can't be beat. It is a very, very lush property on the beach.

Coco LaPalm is also good. Others are Rondel Village and Nirvana. Of all the above mentioned, Charela is the classiest and most attractive. I viewed the others while I was there.
