first time to Negril
 

My husband and I going to Negril in Nov. What is the closest airport to fly into? My husband's college friend, and native of Jamaica, are providing lodging.

Just got back from negril.

You'll fly into montego bay, it's about an hour + cab ride to negril, or you can fly a prop jet to the negril airport for about 200 rt from montego bay.

How much $ in us for the trip from montego bay to negril?

You can usually get a private taxi for $50-60. If you take the JUTA bus (you'll wait a little for other tourists to get on and sort of fill up the bus), that's $20 per person each way.

Plus tip in both cases. I'd take a private taxi myself, you can stop where and when you like and leave the airport when you're ready.
