First time in Puerto Rico need help

We are staying at the Ritz in PR, the first week in November. Is it nice? how is the weather in November? Any suggestions about resturants and night life.

The weather in November is fine and the Ritz is a good choice. It is in the Isla Verde section, near the airport. For local fare try the Metropol, a five minute walk from the hotel. It is a short walk to the Wyndham El SAn Juan where the nightlife is more active than at the RItz. Most of the better restaurants are in the hotels - the Ritz, and the El SAn JUan, Intercontinental and EMbassy Suites, all within walking distance.

November is a good time to com. The hurricane season is over and the weather is around 80 to 83 temp. If you want some info sent to your home call this toll free num. 1-800-866-7827 it is the PR tourism company and they can send you some info. it takes about 7 days to get it. Also if you call tell them you want a que pasa magazine which has a restaurant guide for all of puerto rico. they can also help you with any questions you might have about your trip. Hope the info helps!

I hate to be a wet blanket, no pun intended, but hurricane season is not over until Nov. 30, and when we were in PR in Dec. and had a monsoon every day, the bar tender told us that if it is cold in the US it will be raining in PR.

Weather is refreshing. Old San Juan is know for its international cusine. Ask the concierge for the San Juan Nights tour.

We were at the Ritz in PR 2 yrs ago and we had a fantastic time. Great hotel and island. Don't miss El Yunque Rainforest, El Morro Fort & Art Galleries in Old San Juan. Excellent golfing, casinos, tennis, shopping, museums, clubs, shows and restaurants. Also, Luquillo Beach is a must.

The Metropol is a Cuban restaurant. They serve Cuban food. For local fare, try Ajili Mojili in Condado.

hello,

As anyone ever heard of Isla Verde in PR? If so, recommendations on where to stay, what to do etc. We are thinking of going there next year. Or any other suggestions that has a long stretch of beach to walk, snorkeling and inexpensive restautrants and drinks would be greatly apprecitated.

My two favorite hotels in the Isla Verde area of Puerto Rico are The Ritz Carlton Spa & Casino and The InterContinental Resort & Casino. The Ritz is 5 stars, is more upscale, has a perfect golden sand beach, & vibrant casino. The InterContinental is 4 stars, more casual during the day, has a nice beach & casino, and 7 restaurants. Have a great time.

Ooops, I almost forgot to mention that The InterContinental can sometimes be a bit noisy. I recommend you request a room facing the ocean to avoid airport noise. My last stay at this hotel was 2 years ago. I've been staying at The Ritz since then.
