First time

Off to Aruba in May, first time, would really like some hints, and a good hotel recommendation. Quality is the key.

Radisson (#1) or Hyatt (#2) on Palm Beach. They are the 2 best.

Restaurants: El Gaucho (do not miss), Flying Fishbone, Madame Janette's

Activities: Jolly Pirates snorkel cruise, Kukoo Kunuku Party Bus.

Have fun!

If you prefer the high-rise area (more activity in this area) you have choices of Marriott, Hyatt, Radisson and I would also include the Wyndham (good value at this hotel) as the service is very good and staff helpful.

We go to Aruba often and have used several different agencies but we find the best deals with Travel Unlimited at http://www.travelunlimited.com. They specialize in Aruba and have a few of the hotels listed on their website.

I recommend Bucuti - not very 'posh' with luxurious rooms and lots and lots of activities, but their 'quality' lies in peace and quiet, an incredible beach, and very friendly and excellent service. We loved it, but of course it depends on what you want. If 'activities' is what you are looking for...

I second the vote for Bucuti. The stretch of beach there is beautiful and the atmosphere is more intimate and charming than on the beach with the Hyatt, Wyndham, etc. However, like previous poster said, it depends on what you're looking for.
