Fiesta Inn, Cozumel
 

Hi: Planning a trip to Cozumel in the fall and are considering the Fiesta Inn for accomodations. We are going there to dive also. Any feedback on the hotel and dive shops would be appreciated. Thanks Fran

Take a look at www.aldora.com. They are a dive operater in COZ and they have a good review and comment section. My son and I are going 6/3 foir 4 days of diving. The reviews at Aldora sold me. You can also call and get info from Robin.

We have been to Fiesta Inn several times. It is nice and comfortable and too far into town. I have been diving in Cozumel for the past 12 years and always use Dive Paradise. They keep the people to minimum on their boats and the dive masters are very good.

Just got back from long weekend. We stayed at The Fiesta Inn and dove with Aldora. It was the best. Th e Giesta is a nice, clean hotel. Not fancy but @$69/nite it was great. I felt that the room was equivalent to room I spent $390/nite for in Grand Cayman in February. I strongly recommend Aldora. They use 120cu. ft. tanks which give much longer bottem times. Give you computers if you don't have and the dive is controlled by the computers. Only 6 divers max / boat. Daniel and Antonio both have Masters in Marine Biology and find all the critters. Cozumel has some great rest. in town.Primo, Ernesto's fajita Factory,The Lobster House. <BR>We are already talking about going back and doing it again.

I've stayed at the Fiesta several times. Reasonable rates, rooms are so-so, but pool and grounds are very pretty. The manmade beach across the street (via underground walkway) isn't huge, but then there's rarely a crowd. Decent snorkeling off the pier. I'd suggest a garden/pool view room, not oceanfront, which I've heard can be noisy from the street traffic (also, ocean's across the street and partially blocked by dive hut/restaurant). The walk to town is about 15-20 minutes and can be downright uncomfortable in the sweltering heat. "Splurge" on a cab (maybe $2).
