Fiance and mines trip
Hello everyone. well we are ditching the kids this time and we are planning our first out of country vacation. We like the idea of all inclusive for we want to eat and drink as much as we want. "Las Vegas did us wrong there". Anyways, she wants to have the local nite time entertainment. Dance halls casinos etc. Snorkeling be a great activity during the day. we are beginner surfers and cant find much for that. but we are ok if we can substitute with other activities. She likes to shop and hang with locals. Id like to be able to enjoy the local cannibis on the beach on the moonlite be cool. We dont do that stuff and we probably only drink a few beers amonth. got outdated beer in fridge.. flying from kansas july 20-27. Any ideas. Hip street be cool but only few resorts in monego bay. $2,500 max for two people

The best AI's are in Mexico, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
Smoking cannabis is still illegal in the Caribbean and Mexico. I hope that comment you were just kidding. It not, then do so at your own risk.
Casinos in Aruba and Puerto Rico. No AI's in Puerto Rico.
I think Aruba would be your best chose for all the other criteria you list. Look at the Occidental and the RIU on Palm Beach.
Yeah, Las Vegas sux for food choices. The worst food at the most expensive prices we have ever experienced anywhere on vacation. Drink prices are high also unless you're gambling. We stopped going there in 2009.

snorkeling and surfing don't go together, if there are waves, can't snorkel
Everything but the snorkel, including your price range, you might want to check out Jaca, Costa rica. It's a surfing crowd, but no casinos.
After the mom went to a funeral in Mexico and ended up in jail for 9 days because of "planted" cannabis, I'd stay away unless you want a longer vacation from your kids. (like years)

If you are interested in snorkeling, I would consider the Riviera Maya area of Mexico. Jamaica is not known for good snorkeling. RM has a ton of gorgeous AI resorts, some have excellent snorkeling right on site. Finding some weed is pretty easy to do no matter what tropical destination you choose...just be careful....

If you are truly looking for "local nite time entertainment. Dance halls casinos etc. Snorkeling", you will be disappointed in Jamaica.
Snorkeling in Jamaica is meh. Especially from the resort area. You'll need to take one of the boat trips. Sightseeing and waterfalls is the main attraction there.
