Ferry from St Thomas to Tortola
Thinking of flying from NYC to STT and then taking the ferry to Tortola.

How long is the ferry ride?
How much does it cost?
How far is the ferry from the airport?
How often does it run?

Thanks

Stephen,
I answered most of you questions in your other thread but the Charlotte Amalie-Tortola ferry is a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport! It costs $40 round trip and takes under an hour to the west end of Tortola. The ferry runs frequently throughout the day.

Hi Stephen -

The other poster said what I was going to say re. price and being close to the airport. But, I wanted to let you know that the ferry ride is very nice - you get to see lots of scenery - St. Thomas, St. John, and lots of the BVIs. We enjoyed the ride a lot. It took us about 1 hour total going, and 45 minutes coming back (I think it depends on what ferry service you use). The ferries run often and you shouldn't have any problems getting one convenient for you. They have websites but I can't remember what the address is - just do a search.

Go to AA.com (american airlines). Then netsavers and specials. I got a fare of 383 from JFK. It could also be lowere depending on the day. You can also fly from LGA. Check it out.
