Favorite island in July?
I'm looking to plan a last minute trip anniversary trip, and am wondering what islands are nice (weatherwise) in July. Any thoughts? We like hiking, scuba, nice beaches, good food. We're not into watersports or gambling.

If anyone knows of a good website to check year-round weather, I'd appreciate the link.

Thanks!

We're going to St. John in July -- were there 2 yrs ago in July as well. LOVED IT! Also check USVI On-Line forum -- a wealth of info there!
I usually go into Google and just type out what I need such as "Climate, Caribbean" or "Climate, Virgin Islands" -- or whatever.

Anguilla sounds perfect for you.

Try the Runaway Hill Club in Harbour Island Bahamas--small intinate inn on beautiful pink sand beach--no one under 18 allowed.
|
Try the British Virgin Island, either Virgin Gorda or Tortola. It is more expensive to get there than some of the other islands, but BEAUTIFUL. Very private...there are places where you two will be the only ones on the beach in July. The also have hiking and great snorkeling and diving. The only thing that I didn't think was so great was their food, but, then again, I am kind of picky. No nightlife either, just peace, quiet and beauty.
Definitely stick with the southern area of the Caribbean--such as Barbados--tons of resorts to choose from--Crystal Cove, Accra Beach Resort etc.
Also, Bermuda is very nice in July--Pompano Beach Club, The Reefs etc.
Scuba would probably be best in Bonaire.
