Favorite Aruba Restaurants?

We'll be in Aruba over Spring Break - 4 nights at the Marriott Ocean Club and 2 nights at the Renaissance. What are your favorite dining experiences here and why?

El Gaucho is the best!! Incredible Argentinian steaks and awesome sangria.

For romance and ambience, Ruinas Del Mar at the Hyatt is very nice. I also liked Cuba's Cooking and Boonoonos (both in town) for great ethnic food.

I agree that Ruinas Del Mar has excellent foot. There are also swans swimming in a pond right outside the restaurant. Very nice.

1. Faro de Blanco
2. Tango-good steaks and prof. tango dancers to entertain
3. Boonoonos I read had closed. Too bad. We liked it.

Good news is that it's hard to go wrong in Aruba -- the food is so fabulous. Some of our favorites have been Madame Janette, Pasion Bodega, Chalet Suisse (Toblerone Fondue a must), Salt and Pepper (great for a beer and a couple tappas for lunch). Amazonia is good but a meat-fest (my husband was full and happy, I didn't want to see meat for a week).

Our favorites are El Gaucho in town, Tango across from the Allegro & Hyatt(we too enjoy the prof Tango dancers!) and Fishes and More across from the Hyatt & Allegro (great shrimp appetizer!)

Enjoy your time in Aruba!

Haven't been to Aruba in 3 years, but Tejas de Brasil was great the last 2 times we were there.

You have got to try Madame Janette! Best dining we ever had, on Aruba or (almost) anywhere else.

Papiamento has wonderful Caribbean cuisine. Tables are outside surrounding a pool. The food, ambiance and service was spectacular. Also, for good Italian food, try the Trattoria de Faro Blanco. It is by the lighthouse. Ask for a table outside on the terrace and try to time your dining with the sunset. Another good place for seafood is Aqua Grille. It is really hard to go wrong in most places.

If you want something low key and cheap but really good try Lindas Pancake and Pizza. It has great pizzas and wonderful Dutch pancakes. It is not far from the Marriott. Tell the taxi driver it is near the Costal station in the same plaza as Captains Corner.

Another vote for El Gaucho. Try the amazing white wine sangria.
