Family vacation for divers

We are a family of 6 with 4 single adult children in their 20's traveling in June 2016 for two weeks and two islands. We have been to Turks and Caicos, Bonaire, Curacao, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and are wanting the next best island for diving. We are all advanced divers. We also like beaches and other land and water activities but we want great diving in one of the two islands. Our two older sons would like good night life one week.

Possibilities are 1) Antigua and Grenada 2) St. John and Virgin Gorda 3) Antigua and St. Lucia

Please any suggestions and information would be so helpful.

I'm an advanced open water diver and have dived in Bonaire, Curacao, Grand Cayman and Cozumel as well as other islands such as Antigua, Grenada and St Lucia. Antigua and Grenada do not have great diving, St Lucia is marginally better but when you have dived in places such as Grand Cayman, it is a disappointment.
There was better diving in Guadeloupe at the Jacques Cousteau underwater reserve, Guadeloupe has great beaches and activities such as hiking etc, it is a fantastic island. On my list to try would be Saba (you could stay in St Martin and have a side trip) and Dominica, neither island have beaches.

I should have added that I would expect BVI to be a good choice; I have not been there so have no personal experience, other posters that have can advise you.

Of the islands on your list, both St. John and Virgin Gorda will give you easy access to some very good to excellent dive sites.

Agree with Odin - Grenada and Antigua are not noted for having great diving.

I was also going to suggest Saba - but Odin beat me to it.

If diving is the biggest factor, I'd eliminate Antigua, Grenada & St Lucia off your list.

If you must do two destinations, I'd look into a combo trip for Belize & Roatan. Both known for their diving. On Belize, you will want to stay on Ambergris Caye which is a small island off the mainland. Diving options are varied and diverse. Roatan sits on one of the nicest coral reef systems in all of the Caribbean.

I was going to suggest Saba too. Lol. No beaches but your base would have to be St. Martin so that would solve that issue, I suppose. ;)

St. Lucia is good for advanced divers. The Soufriere area near the world famous Heritage Pitons is good for that as well as Anse Cochon Bay, just north of there. Excellent resorts such as Jade Mountain and Anse Chastanet are located in that area.

Good luck.
