Family Resort?

My parents are planning a 35th anniversary trip and are kind enough to be bringing us along. Us= me, my husband (early 30s), and our 2 boys (who will be about 8 months and 2 1/2 at the time), my brother and wife, and sister and boyfriend...all in their later 20s. We are looking for a luxury resort (price is not a concern) that would have something for everyone...beaches/pools to relax at, good dining options (although don't necessarily have to be on property), a little bit of nightlife for the kidless, some stuff to do during the day, and some kid-friendly activities for the kids. The boys golf and really like casinos, so it would be nice to have either or both of those as an option. As you can tell, we are open to just about anywhere, including Mexico, although I have posted this on the Caribbean board. Any suggestions?

You don't mention what time of year you are traveling and that can make a difference.
Luxury and kids activities doen't always go hand in hand.
Most "luxury" resorts don't really have a lot of kids acitivities.

i think barbados would be a perfect choice. has golf, casinos, wonderful beaches for swimming, snorkeling off the west coast or surfing on the east coast. plenty of nightlife in the area known as the Gap on the southwest coast. tons of restaurants.
if price is really no issue you should look at sandy lane - a truly stunning & lux resort (with own golf course). the crane is quite nice & well known but is on the atlantic side so water is often too rough for pleasant swimming - expecially for little ones.

also, for both golf & gambing check out puerto rico & dominican republic.

Barbados would fit your requirements except casinos are illegal - there are slot machines but not quite the same thing. However, several golf courses and many other activities for all ages. The Almond Resorts group are 3 different locations on the island all suitable for families and close to off resort activities. Southern Palms hotel is located on a fab beach in "The Gap" so close to restaurants, shops and other amenities. The Crane is a great location but the sea is definitely not suitable for kids, but there are several pools, including some private with the unit.
Loads more info about the island here:
