Familiar with Valentine's Resort on Harbour Island?

Has anyone stayed here? Considering it for a stay in the spring.

I have stayed and loved it. They have a couple of permanent umbrellas at the beach, but you really need a golf cart rental to go back and forth. (you could technically walk, but much more fun on golf cart!)

The resort is beautiful, top of the line fixtures and granite, so very luxurious. It's at the marina, on the other side of the beach. Their restaurant is excellent.

I would highly recommend it. You're getting a lot of luxury for the money.

Thanks, blamona. We rented a golf cart on Elbow Cay once and it was alot of fun, so if we do end up going to Harbour Island, will definitely rent one.

Well, I just "won" this hotel on skyauction.com. My bid was $94, and there is an additional 49 a nite in taxes and fees. This seems to be a good price, judging from what rooms go for on their website. This is the first time I have won anything on skyauction.

More of it is Harbour Island is an excellent vacation spot, especially in the Spring. Can't go wrong at the price you're quoting. Valentine's is quite upscale and has a very nice pool. The bar and restaurant are delightful and a popular place to be at night. Be forewarned, Harbour Island is not cheap. Check out some of the photos on Harbourislandguide.com. Nearby Eleuthera is cool too -- very underdeveloped and a favorite place for a number of stars like Lenny Kravitz and Mariah Carey: Eleuthera-map.com.

It's been a week since I submitted my preferred dates to skyauction.com. I hope I hear from them soon with a confirmation of my dates.

Re: the beach area with umbrellas - are there facilities on the beach w/bathroom, restaurant or beach bar, etc.

The beach, there are 2 restaurants on the beach close to the area with umbrellas, Pink Sands and Coral Sands. Of the two I like Coral Sands a bit more laid back. There are also bathrooms there. I don't know if Valentine's have bathrooms set up but would think not.
