Exactly how much does BEACHES NEGRIL cost

Hi Folks,
How much does Beaches Negril cost, exactly. We are considering a family of four, inc. two kids 9 and 11, for a week in July. Anyone with tips on good discounters...and what is included and what is NOT included. I like to be a good shopper, my wife has her heart set on this one, but if it is really $9K per week for a family....that seems unbelievable.

ok, where exactly do you live? You need airfare don't you? And, what type of room category do you exactly want? These things are taken into consideration for an exact price.

Airfare from Miami, and we want to have two distinct sleeping areas, preferably two bedrooms. I am not counting the airfare in the cost as we will use FF tickets. The issue is that there are some great values out there right now, I just want to understand exactly how much this place is and WHY it is so much better than other top resorts.

Topping, I want to know what Beaches Negril and also Turks is all about. Worth the fuss...? and the bill?

Go to the American Airlines and USAir vacation websites to price out a land only vacation for your dates. Maybe try worldwidevacations.com also. I believe the resort charges on average (based on season and room type) $400+per person per night all inclusive rate. Meaning: all meals, snacks, booze, room, tax, tip, etc.
Well, for a couple it's about $4000 for the week without airfare. I don't know if kids pay the same price or get a discounted rate. For a 2 bedroom suite though it will definitely be substantially more...that $4000 is for a basic room.

What's included...almost everything. All food and drinks (and the bars and restaurants are quite good) and watersports (glass bottom boat rides, snorkeling trips by boat, windsurfing, kayaking, etc). For the kids, there's water slides, organized events like basketball/volleyball/etc games, a videogame room with arcade machines that are set to "free play" mode. The only thing I can think of that's not included are spa treatments, so if you must get a massage or mud bath, that's extra.

Beaches resorts are really great, but unfortunately they are also quite expensive.

Have you tried looking on the web for deals? WE go to Sandals often and have done Beaches Turks and have found substantial savings when booking with people we found on the web. One site that we like is www.twinsburgtravel.com
but also just type in Sandals under search and you should be able to find a whole lot of sites for Beaches.

Penney

Because you want a specific (and limited) room type, they may only be available through Beaches or their reservations office. In that case, yes, it is about $9000.00 a week. If you are more set on the type of room than the resort, see if any other hotels have 2 bedroom suites, maybe Riu Tropical Bay.

If you are more set on the resort itself than the room type, consider one of the 1 bedroom suites which are still large and would probably cut that price in half!

BEACHES IS NOT WORTH THAT KIND OF MONEY!! I sure wish someone had warned me before we went to Beaches Turks and Caicos last summer. There are so many other wonderful, TRULY FIVE STAR resorts in the Caribbean. Do some more research. You'll be glad you did. Again, I cannot warn enough people that Beaches is nothing but a big, disappointing ripoff.

Hi.. we went to Beaches last Nov and loved it. I've been doing research to figure out when we can afford to go back..yes it is pricey but certainly not $9K.

We went (kids are 6 & 9) last Nov for 6 nites @ $5K we used all-inclusive.com. We had one the lowest level 'concierge' room (a stocked fridge and double sofabed).

Also Air Jamaica Vacations 1800-LOVEBIRD has good package rates. Air Ja has an airfare sale right now so you may luck out.

www.funjet.com will also let you do some realtime quotes as well to get an idea of package costs.

It was our best vacation yet and the kids would rather go back there than to Disney. All food, alcohol etc is included and available. My kids loved the kids club (included and open till 10P ) so hubby and I had a little bit of relaxation and quiet dinners. Beautiful pool with swim-up bar which the kids also loved...and of course the beautiful Negril beach and sunsets.

Lots of day activities/watersports..

Only drawback is nighttime entertainment is kind of lame. But their are plenty of jams on the beach if you don't mind having a babysitter ($5/hr + transportation).

Let me know if any specific questions..
