EWR -GHB, Best connection itinerary options. Anyone?
 

Is there anyone that flies this route and has a decent itinerary.
I have been trying to figure the best fare for a 7 night trip to GHB in mid September. Slightly flexible on dates leaving either the weekend of the 12th or the 19th(sat or sun) and staying 7 nights. The United flight departing Newark NJ(EWR) via Nassau and on to GHB on Pineapple, is the best I can find but the fare is high..and I wondered if anyone else who travels this route and has a better option? Any ideas? the connection to Nassau seems the least expensive. What am I missing?

Try booking two separate round trips:
One EWR to FLL on Sat, overnight in Ft Lauderdale, then FLL to GHB on Sunday (or Saturday if you can make the connection times work). Sometimes this can be cheaper. I fly to Eleuthera from Florida, but friends joining us from Denver and Charlotte had an awful time (and expense) trying to make the connections work. Best of luck!

Thanks, Joan. It's a very difficult task. So far the best I have is through Newark/Nassau, then Pineapple. 5 1/2 hr layover on way back, but $415 nonstop Newark/Nassau.thanks

They used to have a regulalar connection from FLL to GHB (continental and later united) but that seems to have changed over the years. Also it may be worth checking if you can get a better flight to N. Eleu airport. Over an hour drive from there to Governors harbour but atleat you'll be on the island.

Yes, mnag that is very good idea about ELH, that's what we did last year - it was fun driving the island upon arrival and going over the glass window too.
